Face Up!

BFI Animation Camp 2015

In February 2015 I served as a Stop Motion Teaching Assistant on the BFI Animation Camp, a short residential training course for young people run by Calling The Shots, in partnership with the BFI. I helped to manage and run several practical workshops for the class of 16-19 year olds, before being assigned a team to supervise and support in the making of their own short stop motion film in the space of three days - taking them through all the stages of filmmaking from storyboarding to modelmaking, animating, audio and editing.
This was the end result - a humourous film conveying a meaningful message about (quite literally) facing up to bullying!
